Once again, it’s an old picture. This one is of my cousin Scott, my sister Sissy, and me. It’s a small part of a bigger picture that was taken at our great-grandparents’ 50th Wedding Anniversary party.
Scott was Scotty then. Now he’s Dr. Scott Allen Jarrett. Tonight he’s conducting Handel’s Messiah for the Charlotte Symphony. He splits his time between Charlotte and Boston. In Charlotte he’s the Music Director and Conductor of the Oratorio Singers of Charlotte, the Charlotte Symphony’s resident chorus. In Boston he’s the Director of the Back Bay Chorale and Director of Music, Chapel Organist and Choirmaster at Boston University’s Marsh Chapel. We’re all very proud of him!
He’s a very busy and talented man. He’s super smart. He’s as sweet as he can be. And he’s my little cousin Scotty (even though he’s all doctory now) because I still remember when we were shopping at GC Murphy’s and he insisted he had money to pay for the game he had picked out, and when he pulled out his little wallet, all he had was Monopoly money.

Well, it's another Wordful Wednesday ... in which you showcase a picture and tell about it...

Mel, you all look so beautiful on the picture! (I can see the Judd Law genes.;))
And I LOVE the story about your cousin and the Monopoly money; that was so cute.;))
The monopoly money reference made me smile.
I love when people do picture posts. I'm sucker for "now and then" type things, getting to see the before and after, younger vs. older... maybe it comes from watching too much reality TV.
That's a riot. I hope you email him the link to the post!
It's funny. I go home and I'm still Jimmy. You can leave home, but as soon as you go back, the 'y' gets tacked back on.
Love this now and again......I always wanted to be gifted. Musically would have been nice, but I would have settled for genius in any one area. Sigh. :)
