Update on Nick

Soooooo...I put in an application to adopt Nick today. I e-mailed the organization about something that was on his biography that I was curious about, and after getting the answer, I wanted him more. He had been mistreated at his previous home. I visited with him awhile today, talking to him through the plexiglass again. He was kind of aloof, but I could see he was purring. He was kneading his little paws (although they're kind of BIG paws). I call that making biscuits because it looks like what my great-grandmother used to do to the dough every night as she made homemade biscuits. It will probably take a few days to be approved because they'll do an interview with me and possibly call some references. But, I don't foresee any problems. Here is a (pretty poor) picture I took of the actual Nick today when I was there filling out the application. I didn't have my camera with me, so I just took it with my phone.

Thank you from Nick.

Getting cats adopted is one of the hardest tasks for any humane society (speaking as a founding board member of the local).

So thank you!

Yay! I'm so happy for you ... and Nick! And I know what you mean about the biscuit making -- I used to call it "making muffins!" I read that is means they are in a happy place because it reminds them of getting milk from their mothers or something. I'm so excited for you!
